Royal Air Force Role Simulations

RAF Apps

As part of a wider campaign to redesign the Royal Air Force's fleet of mobile promotional units, used by the RAF as part of its recruitment campaigns, Loud Cloud developed these official Royal Air Force apps that simulate four important roles.

Each app presents an interactive mission scenario that reflects key aspects of the role it simulates, testing the players ability to analyse important information and make decisions quickly while under pressure.

Other Projects

Video Sharing Site

We developed and hosted a YouTube-esque video sharing site for T-Mobile. The site encouraged participation from staff in the run up to the launch of their Sing advertising campaign.

The front-end was developed using the Drupal Open-Source Content Management System, and supported video upload, playback, rating and commenting features.

The back-end services (written in Java) handled automatic transcoding of uploaded files from all mainstream video formats into Flash Video for playback on the site.

Java Mobile Questionnaire

Loud Cloud developed a Java Mobile questionnaire used in support of the launch campaign for Samsung's Jet handset. Questionnaires could be created and modified via a bespoke back-end content management platform written in Ruby On Rails. Completed questionnaires were immediately transmitted over the mobile Internet to the same platform, which facilitated analysis of all responses.
